Pretty Little Bags

I needed some inspiration this evening - I always go back to the knitting book that my friend Debbie at work gave me a few years ago. Here is my almost finished bag.

I searched my button box and found a pretty mixture that look just perfect for one side only. Just need to finish the last few rows, sew it up and tie the ribbon through. It is just big enough for a small bag of chocs or sweets. They also make a nice Easter gift. Amanda x

That is a great easter gift, and I love the colour too.

Thanks Jo. I have little bags of solid eggs and they fit perfectly in the little bags. If you want the pattern I can email it to you, it's so easy and takes an evening to complete (well almost!)

That would be lovely, thank you. I've only just started knitting again after a break of over 20 years, and was wondering what to knit next. My daughter would love this.

You cast on 23 stitches (I use 25) then moss stitch first 5 rows. Change to stocking stitch for 11 cms then 5 rows of pattern as follows (purl, purl, knit, purl, knit x 5 rows) then back to stocking stitch until measures 29cms then do 5 rows moss stitch. Sew buttons inbetween the double purl rows and thread a piece of ribbon through once sewn together.
