And here it is all finished last Friday, just in time for a heat wave! Seriously I do love this jumper and it fits so well with a white t shirt underneath, jeans and flip flops. Just waiting for the cold spell so that I can wear it out (rather than around the garden when its cooled down in the evenings!).
I haven't written a pattern as such just some helpful notes from my pad. If people want to know how to construct one have added some notes below.
As you know the Daisy Granny Square is the design of Sue Pinner from her book Granny Squares published 2013.

I do love Sue's book, its packed with so many projects and ideas and the photos are beautiful. The daisy granny square pattern is quite addictive and you soon have a small pile of them in no time! I have an idea to make another one for the autumn in the same Debbie Bliss Rialto DK yarn but all edged in shade 90 honey, I have enough in my stash.
Construction Notes:
You need to make 18 granny squares, 6 rounds plus one round for joining
I used 1 x 50g ball of Debbie Bliss Rialto DK Heathers Denim (superwash merino yarn) that's enough to edge 9 squares, so you need 2 x 50g for 18 squares (front and back).
I then used join as you go method to join 9 squares for the back and 9 squares for the front. Each square has two rounds of Denim blue, one you add to each square, then you complete one and then use join as you go to join them together.
The top I crocheted (x4) hrt rows, so you basically ch2 at the beginning of the row, at the end you turn and ch2 and turn and do the next row into the previous rows stitches (hope this makes sense).
It measured 52 cm top to bottom (that's a roomy size 12 or medium) but as you make these you can customise it to fit that's the beauty of using granny squares.
Join shoulder seams
Put both front and back pieces right side facing and sew your should seams, mine were approximately 12 cm. It is easier to start from the sides, I didn't and had to unpick to re-do it twice to make sure it fitted me.
Join sides
Turn piece inside out, I crochet my seams together it is much neater finish, and if I turn mine inside out it is almost reversible. Measure from the top down about 15 cms for the arm holes.
Adding sleeves
This isn't as difficult as you think, just join your yarn in the armpit ch2, then htr into each stitch around, continue until you reach the starting point, then continue to add 1 htr into each stitch, I did 3 rounds.
That's it! Hope you like the notes and can understand them.
