Crochet Christmas stars

So I should be finishing g this Gryer shawl but I kind of got distracted with these teeny tiny crochet stars, they are very addictive! I found the pattern on  attic 24  and another easy to follow brilliant little pattern that you can memorise after just maki g one or two. Umm I may have made enough for a little garland just in time for Christmas. Don’t just take my word for it pop over to try out the pattern yourself , I bet you can’t stop either. I’m using Scheepjes Stonewashed in Yellow Jasper and I’ve also got a small amount of minis left that I’ve started using in some gorgeous colours. The little balls of yarn are just perfect for this project.

Autumn Vibes

Autumn has arrived and all the colours change, yarn included. I'm just loving these mustards and orange tones. I'm currently torn between diving into this new yarn (maybe I'll wait until Sunday when hubby is at work and can have an afternoon of indulgent knitting) knitting pumpkins to re-stock my Etsy shop and finishing my mustard granny I started back in May at the same time as my Sweetheart blanket (which is almost finished just 2 rows to go, woop woop) Too many projects and just not enough time. If you want to purchase new yarn for a new project please visit Lusciously Loopy Yarn for  15% off your first order, win win. Mustard makes

You may remember I started a new jumper back in February, it had been on my wish list for ages now you find the original post here  The pattern is by Cassie Ward and in issue 96 of Inside crochet and its called  Granny's Jumper. I had a digital subscription for a year which is handy because all the past patterns are always with me including this one. Earlier this week (Tuesday) I couldn't settle on which prohect to pick up after work and then I remembered this one and fell in love with it all over again. I've made a little progress but its gone back in its box whilst I finish two other granny jumpers that are nearer completion. And this one requies a little more brain power to get the circle into a square! But I'll be sure to get back onto it again. getting my granny on writing notes so I don't forget the colours my first square!

Oblong Granny Blanket

Here we are and almost finished withe my rectangular blanket, its big enough to share and I love it. Just one more row or two for the border and its ready to reveal next week along with a new pattern! It has a new name too but all will be revealed next week. The border will also include the new Stylecraft Special DK colour Cornish Blue oh and mustard of course. A cosy bank holiday Monday in my favourite spot The inspiration for my latest pattern came from the love of my first granny stripe blanket but I wanted something a little different. I love a big blanket, one to share is even better. Our holidays each year on the Norfolk Broads are fun, relaxing and give me extra crafting time. We always take a portable granny blanket stack and each year I design a new blanket for our holiday. The evenings can be chilly and what better way to relax in the evenings with a glass of chilled wine, wrapped in one of my latest creations, a big soft blanket to share. M U S T AR D You ...

Rectangular granny blanket

Is it oblong or rectangular? Not sure but people have told me its rectangular. Whatever you want to call it I'm loving these colours on my April Showers blanket and I'm writing the pattern notes as I go along so hopefully I can release the pattern over the Easter holiday weekend. Here is a little progress from this weekend. My gorgeous project bag is gaining a lot of attention over on the Stylecraft Instagram account, they kindly re-posted my photo. Link for the Amazon page is on my Instagram account here   more colours added Cornish Blue

Instagram outage

Wasn't it quiet last night without Instagram? Did it affect you? I spent the evening knitting and crocheting, mixing the two because I couldn't settle on one project. Funny how not having access to your favourite app makes you feel unsettled. Just shows how much rely on social media in our day. I started to knit a test piece for a new collaboration with The Knitting Network . My yarn hasn't arrived but I had something similar to get to grips with the new pattern. I'll show some work in progress hopefully next week on my Instagram account.  Its a lovely pattern and one that can be knitted up in lots of different yarn, including Stonewashed!
