Happy Valentine’s Day. My super easy moss stitch cowl is my valentines make, I seriously don’t want to take it off it’s so lovely and soft. It’s the perfect portable knitting project for beginners in a fun, colour changing chunky yarn cake. Knits up quickly with a two row pattern repeat. Look at that colour pop in raspberry ripple, go grab your needles. I have one yarn cake to give away, in the same colour, just pop a comment on my  Instagram account  or tag a friend or two. Yarn bought by me and not affiliated by anyone ❤ ️ Yarn: @kingcoleltd Twirly Tweed Chunky in shade shown 4161 Raspberry Ripple ripple Need size: 7mm RRP6.29 per 150g Cast on 33 stitches, K1, P1 first row, second row P1, K1. Knit to approximately 58cm then cast off in pattern. Stitch two ends together ❤ ️  .

I posted this back in 2013 and its been such a popular post but the link was broken, here it is  again because I'm sure my readers would love to knit this up for gifts over Christmas. I'm currently knitting one in King Cole Twirly Tweed Chunky and the colourway is called Raspberry Ripple. I'm using 7mm knitting kneedles althought the pattern states 6mm. I bought the yarn in Brighton back in May. Its going to look great with my grey coat or a grey jumper, perfect accessory for the chilly weather. I have cast on 33 stitches for this yarn but the Rico yarn uses larges needles and only 19 stitches. I've knitted this for friends and family for Christmas presents and it looks great. It's hard to believe that today is the 31st October, all Hallows Eve, its just too warm isn't it? I took a quick walk outside my office at lunchtime and it is a beautiful day out there. Warm and breezy with such lovely autumnal colours that I am missing from my office desk. fallen leaves some leaves still on the tree outside my office fallen leaves, a sign of autumn I stated my Moss Stitch snood last night, and I've almost knitted through one ball. I love the colour and its so soft. Should have it finished this weekend and I plan to knit another one in a different colour. Enjoy your Halloween, I'm off for a swim, my local pool will be empty! You might remember this post from last November, the free knitting pattern for the snood knitted in Rico Creative Twist Super Chunky. I have finally ordered my grey wool through Loveknitting this week and I can't wait to start. The pattern link is Here   Moss stitch is my favourite pattern, especially on 10mm needles so it knits up super quick. I call Moss stitch little kisses and its so easy to knit, I also use it in my wash cloth pattern. For this snood pattern you only have to cast on 19 stitches, which makes it a great project for a Christmas present!
