Eight-by-Six

June must be a month for me making tees the knitted and crochet kind. I started my denim daisy tee about a week ago, a re-worked version of what was going to be another blanket when I had the brain wave to turn it into something to wear. The denim colour really does make the colours pop don't you think? the back of one jumper meets the front of another tea time in my garden on Sunday morning And I also started my Dill Tee from the lovely We Are Knitters, its my first purchase and won't be my last. I love how you can take the cardboard bag with you that doubles as yarn holder and I managed to find 15 mins to add a few rows whilst waiting for my manicurist on Saturday morning. The instructions and kit are just perfect for beginners and more advanced/experienced knitters, everything is in the bag ready for you to cast on. I love this Sirdar Cotton DK, it took me while to like it. After attempting to knit a summer top last year it got discarded in my wips pile, unloved as I didn't enjoy knitting with it. It just didn't have the stitch definition I wanted or was used to with Debbie Bliss yarns. But to crochet with, now that's another thing, its just lovely and a soft sheen making it look vintage in the grey colour I chose. And the ball bands are so retro and cute. I managed to grab some crochet time outside on a small patch of grass! cocoon yourself in cotton I was lucky to find another ten balls on Kemps website last week in a lovely shade of green. I did use one of the original grey balls then managed to match the dye lot at my local yarn shop and started this granny shrug or cocoon jumper a little while back.
