Granny Tee (Indigo Blue)

Indigo Blue : this happened last night, I finally dived into my Scheepjes Skies mini skien box (heavy) and I'm in love with this yarn! I was sitting watching a film when I had the sudden urge to crochet another Granny Tee by Sarah (aka annaboos house) The mini skeins are perfect and I've just ordered another box for the back plus a larger skein for the sleeves and joining. It has amazing drape and the colours are a subtle shift of indigo that is going to look fabulous over a white t shirt with jeans and flip flops. Perfect partnership. You can watch my progress over on my Instagram account. Indigo Blue I buy my yarn from Lusciously Loopy because the service is first class and I like to support independent businesses. Lynn stocks the Scheepjes Skies mini skein packs and the full size 100g skeins and shes super helpful when it comes to helping customers in the UK and Worldwide. Ball weight:28 gram, Length:47 meter, Gauge:18 stitches, 16 rows to 10

Oblong Granny Blanket

Here we are and almost finished withe my rectangular blanket, its big enough to share and I love it. Just one more row or two for the border and its ready to reveal next week along with a new pattern! It has a new name too but all will be revealed next week. The border will also include the new Stylecraft Special DK colour Cornish Blue oh and mustard of course. A cosy bank holiday Monday in my favourite spot The inspiration for my latest pattern came from the love of my first granny stripe blanket but I wanted something a little different. I love a big blanket, one to share is even better. Our holidays each year on the Norfolk Broads are fun, relaxing and give me extra crafting time. We always take a portable granny blanket stack and each year I design a new blanket for our holiday. The evenings can be chilly and what better way to relax in the evenings with a glass of chilled wine, wrapped in one of my latest creations, a big soft blanket to share. M U S T AR D You

my Gryer shawl update

I'm whizzing along the long rows and I've just finished the 5th colour. I really love how the colours I've chosen work so well together. Sometimes you choose colours and then when you knit them together they don't work as you had expected. On this occasion it has worked just as I wanted it to and the back is just as pretty. Last night I started to add the final colour and then its finished! I don't want to finish it because its been so much fun to knit but I have my next Gryer shawl already planned, I just need to purchase the yarn this week. When this is finished it will be perfect for our holiday on the Broads later this month along with my rectangular granny blanket that I'm finishing next week. More about that in a separate post soon and don't forget you can follow my progress on my Instagram account.
